When the pandemic hit, along with all of its associated restrictive measures,

I really questioned whether I could continue with my community involvement. Chantiers jeunesse offered me an interesting opportunity by giving me the chance to join its ambassador team. Throughout the year, I participated in enriching monthly meetings with youth from across Canada. As part of my participation in the program, I attended workshops on inclusive French writing techniques, slam poetry and how to write a successful blog post.

Being part of Chantiers jeunesse also meant I could participate in virtual events that helped me deepen my understanding of Indigenous issues and Canadian politics.

For all of these reasons and more, I would recommend that anyone who has participated in a Chantiers jeunesse program submit their candidacy for the unique experience of being an ambassador.

Helping promote an organization whose work is meaningful to you is a pleasure on its own!
