Problem

19 youth from the village of Faraway registered for vocational training offered in adjacent municipalities last year. The administrators are disappointed with the lack of interest.

Reason

There isn’t any public transit in Faraway’s regional county municipality (9,000 residents).

Result

Young people don’t want to sign up for vocational training due to the lack of transportation.

SMART goal

By June 2020, set up a carpooling network for 100 students from Faraway. This will help them get to the two neighbouring regional county municipalities, where computer graphics and industrial design classes will be offered. The project should be set up before students go back to school in September 2020.
