A virtual project for intergenerational sharing!

Thanks to our partnership with the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’est de l’Ontario (CEPEO), the “Interconnected Generations” project allowed our volunteers to participate in conversations to promote and foster intergenerational interactions. With the community of the Fédération des Aînés Franco-Albertains (FAFA), volunteers organized a series of enriching discussions on shared topics of interest, encouraging the sharing of experiences and knowledge.

The “Interconnected Generations” project proposed discussions between senior members of the Fédération des aîné.es francophones de l’Alberta and students from the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario.

Among others, conversations between participants explored topics like professional life, differences between how the two generations grew up, and the pandemic.

This experience allowed us to continue offering volunteer opportunities to youth, despite the pandemic, that promoted sharing knowledge across the generational divide, contibuted to a better understanding of others, and helped break isolation.
