Workcamp at Le P’tit Bonheur

We are looking for volunteers for the workcamp at P’tit Bonheur ! The more volunteers we have, the bigger the impact !

When : From May 22nd until June 8th 2018

WhereLe P’tit Bonheur is part of Père Sablon’s work, whose mission is to hep fullfill the lives of young people from all backgrounds through exciting  activities. Located in the heart of the Laurentians, Le P’tit Bonheur is a place where nature is both fun and pur. You will enjoy outdoor activities such as canoeing, campfires, and much more.

What :  Participate in the reconstruction of a Yurt-shaped kitchenette, renovate an activity site called the Fortress and help in the kitchen. Your work will have an impact on the quality of the activities and on the social environment of the campers.

Places are still available on many international workcamps!

If you still don’t have plans for the summer, why not go : 

  • to Finland to do seasonal chores inside et outside a school  
  • to Estonia to work on an organic farm 
  • to France to repair a roof (for those not afraid of heights!) 
  • to Germany to work on the quality of walking trails and lead activities for children in a day camp
  • to Iceland for a photogmarathon !

The entrepreneurship projects
 

12 entrepreneurship workcamps on the go!
 
With the help and support from the entrepreneurship project coordinator, the volunteers are currently working on their community projects, going through steps such as assessing their own entrepreneurship skills, planning and budgeting. Each projects is an great example of youth engagement and allows  the volunteers to serve their community and follow their passion at the same time.

The Leadership in your own hands weekend!

 

 

 

Volunteers from the summer 2018 programs gathered for the first time during two exciting preparatory weekends.

On the program were communication, leadership & problem solving workshops, a conference on community engagement with Yann Fily-Paré from  Montréal Skateboard Association, the unveiling of our summer workcamps in Canada, a potluck and fun activities. 

Congrats to all the participants and huge thanks to our own volunteers : Anne Nguyen, Catherine Cléroux, Victor Sanchez et Marie-Josée Lebel!
